The Formation of Nirvana

In 2002, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in recognition of its “historical importance.” In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Nirvana number nine on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. As of 2012 sales of Nirvana’s albums have exceeded 75 million units worldwide.
