Alice in Chains- “Would?”
“Would?” is a song by the American rock band Alice in Chains. It was released as the third single from their second studio album, Dirt (1992). The song was written by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell as a tribute to his friend and original Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr, who died in 2011.
The music video for “Would?” was co-directed by Tim Pope and Phil Harder. It features the band performing inside an abandoned warehouse intercut with footage of people living in poverty or struggling with addiction. The video was nominated for Best Hard Rock Video at the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards.
