By early 1982, this line-up had disbanded, with the Butlers, Kilburn and Wilson later reconvening to record Forever Now.

The band’s second album, Talk Talk Talk, was released in 1981 and produced by Todd Rundgren. It featured the singles “I Wanna Sleep with You”, “Dumb Waiters”, and “Swimming Horse”.

Characteristically, post-punk groups rejected the standard rock and roll template of guitars, bass, and drums; instead, they experimented with a wide range of instrumentation and song structures. In addition to featuring unconventional instrumentation, post-punk groups often eschewed traditional song structures in favor of more experimental arrangements.
Common themes among post-punk groups include urban decay, anxiety, isolation, and paranoia. Many post-punk groups were also influenced by anarchism, existentialism, and Surrealism.
