Nastia was born in Donetsk, Ukraine, to parents who were both professional ballroom dancers. At the age of four, she began taking ballet classes, and by ten she had started competing in ballroom dancing competitions. She won her first Ukrainian championship at the age of thirteen. When she was sixteen, she moved to Moscow to study at the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy. Charlotte de Witte is a techno DJ and producer from Belgium. She is one of the most popular female DJs in the world and has been ranked #1 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list. Her music is dark, atmospheric, and hypnotic, and she is known for her marathon sets which often last 6-7 hours.

Early life and musical influences

Charlotte de Witte, also known by her mononym Charlotte, is a Belgian DJ and record producer. She was born in Tongeren, Belgium, on May 30, 1992. She began her musical career as a classically trained violinist and later transitioned to electronic music production. De Witte cites Scandinavian techno and Belgian new beat as her primary musical influences.

De Witte’s first release was a three-track EP titled “Curiosity” in 2013. She gained attention in the techno community with her 2015 single “Up All Night”, which was included on fabric London’s renowned mix series fabriclive 79, mixed by Benjamin Damage. De Witte signed to Turbo Recordings in 2016 and released her debut EP “Truth” the following year. Her first full-length album, “Suspended”, was released on the label in 2018 to critical acclaim.

Charlotte de Witte rose to prominence in the techno scene with her 2019 EP, “Volume 1,” which features the tracks “Spacer” and “Voices of the Ancient.” She followed this up with her 2020 album, “NOWHERE,” which reached #1 on Beatport’s Techno charts.
