Defected In The House is a series of compilation albums released by British record label Defected Records. The series began in 1999 with the release of Volume One and has continued annually since, with Volumes Two to Eleven having been released between 2000 and 2010. In 2012, the series returned after a two-year hiatus with Volume Twelve, and has continued annually since then, with Volume Seventeen being released in 2017.

The Defected In The House series is considered by many to be one of the best house music compilation albums series of all time. Fabric is a nightclub in Farringdon, London, United Kingdom. The club is located on the site of an old warehouse and horse hospital, on Charterhouse Street opposite Smithfield Market. It opened on 29 October 1999 and was voted World Number 1 Club in DJ Magazine’s “Top 100 Clubs Poll” in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012.[1] In 2014, the same poll voted fabric as World Number 2 Club.[2]

The club plays a wide range of electronic music including techno, house, drum and bass, dubstep and disco.[3] It has three separate rooms: Room One (the main room), Room Two (the second room) and Room Three (the bar). FabricLive hosts a regular programme of live DJs in Room Two on Friday nights.

The Warehouse Project is a series of nightclubs and live music events that take place in Manchester, England.
