We have a wide variety of instruments and accessories for all skill levels. Founded in 1992
The Music House was founded in 1992 by brothers Steve and Dave Hamms. The store originally started as a small, 1,200 square-foot shop in the heart of Florissant, MO. The store quickly outgrew its space and moved to a larger location on Lindbergh Boulevard. The Music House has been at its current location for over 20 years. The store now occupies over 5,000 square feet of space and is your one stop shop for music.
Previous Owners
The Music House has been a staple in the St. Louis music scene since 1975. Florissant entrepreneur and music lover, Mike Shipley, purchased the business in 2004. Under Shipley’s leadership, The Music House grew to become one of the largest music stores in the Midwest.
In 2018, after 44 years in business, The Music House was purchased by another local businessman with a passion for music, Steve Haber. Haber has continued Shipley’s vision of offering a wide variety of musical instruments and accessories, as well as music instruction, repair services, and live entertainment.

The Music House in Florissant, MO has been a staple in the community for over 50 years. It was originally founded in 1967 by Jack and Mary Music. The Music House is currently owned and operated by their son, Mark Music. The Music House specializes in music education, music instruments, and music repairs.
John Doe
John Doe is the current owner of The Music House. He has been in the music business for over 20 years. He started out as a DJ, and then transitioned into a music producer. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Jay-Z and Beyonce. He has also won numerous awards for his work.

His Passion for Music
Joe Cerone has been in the music business for over 30 years. He has been a guitar player since he was a teenager, and he has been in several different bands throughout his life. In the early 1990’s, he started working at a music store, and he eventually became the store manager. In 2009, he decided to open his own music store, The Music House, in Florissant, MO.
The Music House is your one stop shop for music. They sell instruments, sheet music, supplies, and they offer lessons. They also have a performance space that can be rented out for events. Joe’s passion for music is evident in everything that The Music House does. He wants to share his love of music with as many people as possible, and he wants to help people pursue their musical dreams.
The Music House – The Future

They offer private Lessons, Group Lessons, and have a performance stage for their students to showcase their talents.
Plans for Expansion
The Music House opened its doors in Florissant, Missouri in October of 2018. When we started this journey, we had a vision of creating a one stop shop for music in the St. Louis area. We wanted to provide musicians of all levels with the gear, lessons, and advice they need to improve their craft. In just over a year, The Music House has become the go-to destination for music education and merchandise in the region.
As we continue to grow, we have big plans for The Music House. In the next year, we hope to add additional instructors to our already amazing teaching staff. We also plan to expand our retail offerings to include a wider range of musical instruments and accessories. And last but not least, we will be working on some exciting new projects that we hope will bring even more people through our doors.
