Introduction

It was a warm summer night and I could hear music coming from my neighbor’s house. It was a mix of different genres that I couldn’t quite identify, but it sounded good. I decided to go over and introduce myself.

As I walked up to the house, I could see that the windows were open and the music was coming from inside. I knocked on the door and a few seconds later, a woman in her early twenties answered.

We started talking and I found out that her name was Sarah. She told me that she loved music and enjoyed going to concerts. We talked for a while about our favorite bands and songs.

Eventually, Sarah invited me inside to listen to her new album. We spent the rest of the night listening to music, talking, and getting to know each other. It was a great night that I will never forget.

In addition to classical music, I also heard a fair amount of Jazz emanating from my neighbor’s house. This was usually played on the piano or on a saxophone. Sometimes there would be other instruments accompanying the piano or saxophone, but often times it was just a solo performance. The Jazz pieces I heard ranged from mellow ballads to upbeat ragtimes.

I also occasionally heard rock music coming from my neighbor’s house. This was usually played on an electric guitar or on a drum set. Sometimes there would be other instruments accompanying the guitar or drums, but often times it was just a solo performance. The rock pieces I heard ranged from soft and melodic to loud and energetic.

Lastly, I occasionally heard folk music coming from my neighbor’s house. This was usually played on an acoustic guitar or on a mandolin. Sometimes there would be other instruments accompanying the guitar or mandolin, but often times it was just a solo performance. The folk pieces I heard ranged from simple and folksy to complex and weaving.

The effects of the music on me

There was music from my neighbor’s house and it had a profound effect on me. It was a slow, sad song and it made me feel very happy. I don’t know why, but it did. Perhaps it was because I could relate to the lyrics or maybe it was the way the singer sang the words. Whatever the reason, the music made me feel good.
