In 1938, Lincoln House of Music was founded by Charles and Mary Lincoln. The original store was located on the first floor of the Lincolns’ home on 12th Street in downtown Lincoln. Over the years, the store has moved to several locations around Lincoln, but it has always remained a family-owned business.
The Lincolns’ son, Bob, took over the business in the 1960s, and he ran it until his retirement in 2009. At that time, Bob’s son, Steve, became the third generation of the family to own and operate Lincoln House of Music.
