We saw a lot of great indie rock albums released in 2016. Some of our favorites include Radiohead’s “A Moon Shaped Pool,” Car Seat Headrest’s “Teens of Denial,” and Parquet Courts’ “Human Performance.” These albums all have something unique to offer and are definitely worth checking out.

Bon Iver – 22, A Million

“No Diggity” – The Black Keys

The Black Keys are an American rock band formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach (lead vocals, guitar) and Patrick Carney (). The duo began as an independent act, recording songs in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular duos of the 2000s. Their raw blues rock style draws heavily from Auerbach’s guitar playing and Carney’s percussion, often providing a distinctive sound that is reminiscent of old-school rock n’ roll.

“No Diggity” is a 1996 song by American R&B group Blackstreet. It was the lead single from their second album, Another Level. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on November 16, 1996, and remained there for three weeks. The song features R&B singer Dr. Dre and Queen Pen.

The song was ranked at number 91 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ’90s. In October 2011, NME placed it at number 160 on its list “150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years”.

“I Will Survive” – Cake

“I Will Survive” is a song from Cake’s 1996 album Fashion Nugget. The song is about enduring tough times and coming out stronger on the other side. The song was released as a single in 1997 and became a huge hit, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has been covered by many Artists including Gloria Gaynor, who released her own version of the song in 1978.
