The props of Rock Around the Block
To create the props for Rock Around the Block: The Musical, we had to get creative. With a limited budget, we had to look for ways to create props that would both look believable and be safe for our actors.
We started by looking at what we already had on hand. We had some old boxes that we could use for props, and we also had some old clothes that could be used as costumes. With a little bit of imagination, we were able to transform these items into props that looked like they belonged in a rock concert.
Next, we went to local thrift stores and garage sales to find additional items that we could use. We were able to find some old instruments and other items that helped to complete the look of our props.
Finally, we created some of our own props using materials that we found around the house. We used old newspapers and magazines to create posters and signs, and we even made our own microphones out of toilet paper rolls!
With a little bit of creativity, we were able to put together a complete set of props for our musical.
