Music to help you rock out
Rock music is a genre of popular music that originated in the United States in the 1950s. It has its roots in 1940s and 1950s rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and country music. Rock music also drew inspiration from jazz, folk, and classical music.
Rock musicians combined an emphasis on skill and technique with the concept of art as artistic expression, originality, and individuality. They created a progressive approach to popular music that emphasized extended instrumental solos, improvisation, technological innovation; live performance; and an overall DIY aesthetic.
In the 1960s, rock bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Vanilla Fudge, Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd groups such as Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd,[1] Jimi Hendrix Experience expanded creole rock.[2][3] In the late 1960s and early 1970s other genres emerged from rock including progressive rock (such as Yes and Emerson Lake & Palmer), glam rock (such as David Bowie and T. Rex), art rock (such as Roxy Music) hard rock (such as Deep Purple).

Music to help you feel connected
There are all sorts of music out there, and it can be tough to find something that really speaks to you. But there are certain genres and artists that have a way of making you feel like you’re not alone in this world. This music can help you feel connected to something bigger than yourself, and it can be a source of strength and comfort.
If you’re looking for music to help you feel connected, here are a few suggestions:
Indie rock: For fans of indie rock, there’s something special about the raw, personal sound of the genre. It can be easy to feel like you’re the only one who understands the lyrics, but in reality, there are millions of other people who feel the same way. Artists like The National, Bon Iver, and Fleet Foxes make music that is both personal and universal.
Hip hop: Hip hop is often misunderstood as a genre that is all about violence and drugs. But if you look beyond the surface, you’ll find that hip hop is actually full of positive messages about community, family, and finding your place in the world. Artists like Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, and Chance the Rapper make music that will make you feel connected to something bigger than yourself.
Classical: Classical music has a way of tapping into our emotions and connecting us to something deep within ourselves. If you’re looking for music to help you feel calm and centered, then classical is a great choice. And if you’re feeling lost or lonely, Bach’s “Arioso” has been known to provide comfort to those who need it most.
