Tycho

Tycho is an ambient electronic music group from San Francisco, California. The group is composed of Scott Hansen, Zac Brown, and Rory O’Connor. Hansen is the primary composer, singer, and guitarist, while Brown and O’Connor play synthesizers and drums, respectively.

The group’s music has been described as “a blend of organic and electronic instrumentation with lush soundscapes that create an expansive sonic experience.” Tycho’s sound has been compared to that of Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, and Ulrich Schnauss.

Tycho has released four studio albums: “Dive” (2011), “Awake” (2014), “Epoch” (2016), and “Weather” (2019). The group has also released two live albums: “Live in Copenhagen” (2017) and “Live at the Victoria Theatre” (2018).

Tycho has been nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best Dance/Electronic Album for “Awake” (2015) and Best Dance Recording for “See” (2016).

The Album Leaf is an American ambient/electronic band founded in 1998 by Jimmy LaValle. The band is currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Their music has been used in various forms of media, including a critically acclaimed BMW commercial and the film “Into the Wild.” The Album Leaf has released six full-length albums, four EPs, and numerous singles.

Hammock

Hammock is an American ambient/electronic band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2004 by Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson. Their music has been used in a number of films and television shows including The Walking Dead and Friday Night Lights. Hammock’s musical style has been described as “ambient Americana” and “post-rock”.

The American Dollar

The American Dollar is an ambient electronic group from the United States. The group’s sound is a mix of IDM, trip-hop, and post-rock. The American Dollar has released four studio albums, most recently A Memory Stream (2016).

Formed in 2006, The American Dollar originally consisted of John Emanuele (keyboards, programming) and Rich Orgel (guitar, bass). The two had been making music together for several years before deciding to form a band. They were later joined by Johnny Dunning (drums) and Steve Katrovas (keyboards, programming).

The American Dollar’s debut album,, was released in 2006. The album was well-received by critics and garnered attention from the electronic music community. The group followed up with the release of their second album,, in 2009.

The American Dollar has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. In 2010, the group performed at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival in England.

The American Dollar is currently signed to the German record label Kompakt.

Emancipator

Emancipator is an American producer and DJ who createSambient electronic music. His work has been praised for its use of jazz samples and organic instrumentation, and he has been credited as a pioneer in the genre. He has released six studio albums, one live album, and one remix album. His latest album, Baralku, was released in 2017.
