Who is Anthony Mackie?

Anthony Mackie is an American actor. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 23, 1979. Mackie is known for his roles in the films The Hurt Locker (2008) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). He has also starred in the TV series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). Mackie is a country music fan, and he has even appeared in a music video for the country group Little Big Town.

Anthony Mackie was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the son of Martha and Willie Mackie, Sr., and has two brothers, Marcus and Jarvis. Mackie was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, the son of Martha Gordon and Willie Mackie, Sr., a carpenter who owned a family construction company. Mackie’s grandfather lived in New Orleans and his grandmother was from Mississippi. His mother worked for twenty years as a teacher’s aide. When Mackie was sixteen, his parents divorced and he moved with his mother to Atlanta, Georgia. Mackie attended Westlake High School in Atlanta and graduated in 1992.
