Looking at the current state of rock music, it’s easy to feel like douchebags are running the show. But who are the biggest offenders? Here are the 10 biggest douchebags in rock music today.

Introduction

Rock music has always been a bit of an outsiders genre. It’s for the rebels, the misfits, and the outcasts. But even within the world of rock music, there are those who go above and beyond in their douchebaggery. Here are the 10 biggest douchebags in rock music.

#10- Ronnie James Dio

Ronnie James Dio was the frontman for several classic rock bands, most notably Black Sabbath, Rainbow, and Dio. He was known for his powerful vocal style and his use of medieval imagery. He also popularized the “devil horns” hand gesture in rock music.

Dio was known for being one of the biggest douchebags in rock music. He was exploitative of his bandmates, belittled them in interviews, and often took credit for their work. He was also known for being rude to fans and journalists.

Despite his questionable character, Dio was a talented musician and songwriter. He helped to pioneer the heavy metal genre and influenced many subsequent musicians.

#9- Ozzy Osbourne

While Ozzy Osbourne may not be the biggest douchebag in rock music, he certainly is one of the most influential. As the lead singer of Black Sabbath, Osbourne helped pioneer heavy metal and set the stage for an entire genre of music. However, throughout his career he has also been dogged by allegations of racism and sexism. In addition, his public persona as a crazed party animal has led to some pretty douchey behavior, including urinating on the Alamo and biting the head off a bat.

#8- Bret Michaels

Bret Michaels is probably best known as the lead singer of Poison, a hair metal band from the 1980s. He’s also well-known for his participation in reality TV shows, such as “Rock of Love” and “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Michaels has been criticized for his treatment of women, both on and off camera. On “Rock of Love,” he often objectified and sexually harassed the women competing for his affections. And in 2010, he was sued by a former fiancée for defamation after he made public statements about her that were false and hurtful.

He has also been accused of being a terrible father. In 2009, his ex-wife filed for full custody of their two daughters, citing Michaels’ drug use and general irresponsibility.

#7- Vince Neil

From his days as the frontman of Mötley Crüe to his current solo career, Vince Neil has been one of the biggest douchebags in rock music for decades. He’s been arrested for drunk driving and assault, he’s made misogynistic and homophobic comments, and he once punched a woman in the face. He’s also been known to mistreat his fans and employees, and he’s generally just an all-around unpleasant person.

#6- Sebastian Bach

Sebastian Bach was the lead singer of Skid Row in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was known for his aggressive onstage behavior and bad attitude. He was eventually kicked out of the band for his bad behavior.

#5- Tommy Lee

drummer of Mötley Crüe and ex-husband of Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee has made a career out of being a douchebag. He’s been arrested for assault, spousal abuse, and child endangerment, and he once filmed a sex tape with Anderson that was leaked online. He’s also been known to treat his fans badly, spitting on them and throwing things at them.

#4- Axl Rose

4. Axl Rose

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more narcissistic, self-absorbed and downright douchey frontman than Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose. From his on-stage antics (constantly starting fights, throwing tantrums and smashing instruments) to his off-stage behavior (constantly getting into legal trouble, being rude to fans and behaving like a total diva), Axl has always been a gigantic douchebag. And let’s not forget his personal life – he’s been married three times (including to a woman who was just 13 years old when they wed!), he’s had numerous public meltdowns, and he’s even been accused of sexual assault. In short: if there was ever a poster boy for douchebaggery, it would be Axl Rose.

#3- Dave Mustaine

Dave Mustaine is the vocalist and guitarist for the American heavy metal band Megadeth. He is also a former member of Metallica. Mustaine has been involved in a number of controversies throughout his career, and is widely considered to be a douchebag.

#2- Kanye West

Kanye West is no stranger to controversy. From his outspoken statements on race and politics to his ego-inflated persona, West has rubbed many people the wrong way over the years. He’s even been known to hijack award shows and microphone time from other artists. But despite all of his flaws, there’s no denying that West is one of the most talented and successful musicians of our time.

#1- Gene Simmons

-Musician, singer, actor and businessman Gene Simmons is best known as the bassist and co-lead singer of the rock band Kiss. He is also known for his over-the-top antics both on and off stage, including his trademark tongue wagging and his outrageous behavior which has often been criticized as misogynistic and sexist.
