Car commercials with dubstep music are becoming increasingly popular, but do they actually work? We take a look at the research to find out.

What is dubstep?

Dubstep is a type of electronic dance music that originated in the UK in the early 2000s. It is characterized by deep, bass-heavy sound with heavy use of drums and sub-bass frequencies. Dubstep tracks often have a slow, deliberately AeE-driven rhythm and tend to be between around 140 and 180 beats per minute.

Do car commercials with dubstep music work?

Dubstep music is becoming increasingly popular in car commercials. But does this type of music actually make people more likely to buy a car?

A recent study by the University of Utah found that people who heard dubstep music in a car commercial were more likely to say they would buy the car than those who heard no music, or other types of music.

The study participants were shown two different car commercials, one with dubstep music and one without any music. They were then asked how likely they would be to buy the car.

The results showed that participants who heard the dubstep commercial were significantly more likely to say they would buy the car than those who heard the non-musical commercial.

So it seems that, at least for now, dubstep music in car commercials does work. But it’s worth noting that this is just one study, and it’s possible that future studies could find different results.

2.1. Research

In order to see if there is a relationship between car commercials with dubstep music and sales, research will be conducted. This will be done through two means: a survey and an experiment. The survey will ask individuals if they are more or less likely to buy a car that is advertised with dubstep music. The experiment will show various car commercials, some with dubstep music and some without, to different individuals and then track which ones are more successful in increasing car sales. This research will help to determine if car companies should continue using dubstep music in their commercials or if they should look for a different type of music.

2.2. Case Studies

To further explore the effect of using dubstep music in car commercials, four recent car commercials that use dubstep were analyzed. The first commercial is for the 2009 Audi S4, the second for the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, the third for the 2008 Dodge Challenger, and the fourth for the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (all commercials can be found in Appendix A). For each commercial, a content analysis was conducted to code and identify the various music-related elements.

Why do car commercials with dubstep music work?

Car commercials with dubstep music are designed to appeal to a younger, more progressive demographic. The music is intended to be exciting and attention-grabbing, and it often features a heavy beat that encourages viewers to move or dance along. The end result is a commercial that is both memorable and effective at promoting the product.

How can you make a car commercial with dubstep music?

There are many ways to make a car commercial with dubstep music. The most important part is to make sure that the music fits well with the car. There are many different types of cars, so it is important to find the right type of music that will showcase the car in the best light. For example, if you were trying to sell a sports car, then you would want to use a fast paced and adrenaline pumping song. However, if you were trying to sell a family car, then you would want to use a slower and more calming song. It is also important to make sure that the volume of the music is not too loud so that it overpowers the visuals of the car.
