The Best of Charlie Brown: A Jazz Musical Retrospective is an album by the Vince Guaraldi Trio, released in 1966 on Fantasy Records. The album features selected tracks from the 1965 hit jazz musical A Charlie Brown Christmas, as well as other tracks from the Guaraldi library. It was released in both mono and stereo formats.

The album was reissued in 1992 on CD by Fantasy, with two additional bonus tracks. “Linus and Lucy” had previously been released on the 1968 LP Jazz Impressions of A Boy Named Charlie Brown, and “Greensleeves” was previously unreleased.

In September of 1963, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” first aired on TV. Sixteen years later, in 1979, “The Charlie Brown Jazz Album” was released, recorded by the Vince Guaraldi Trio. The album featured jazz interpretations of classic Peanuts themes like “Linus and Lucy,” “Greensleeves” (the original version of which was heard in A Charlie Brown Christmas), as well as original compositions like “Chanukah Dance” and “Skating.” In 2016, the album was re-released on vinyl by Fantasy Records.
