Introduction

The Chicago Old School of Folk Music is a community of musicians who play and sing traditional folk music. We welcome musicians of all levels of experience, from beginners to seasoned professionals. We meet every Wednesday night at the Hopleaf Bar in Chicago, Illinois. We start with an open mic, followed by a featured performer. The open mic is open to everyone, regardless of experience level. It’s a great way to network with other folk musicians and learn new songs. After the featured performer, we have an informal jam session where everyone is welcome to join in.
