Lane continued to releasing successful gospel albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In 2000, she released her greatest hits album, “The Best of Christy Lane.” The album included many of Lane’s most popular songs such as “I Feel Like I’m Walking on Air,” “One Day At A Time,” and “Jesus Is My Friend.”

Lane is considered one of the pioneers of contemporary Christian music. She has won numerous awards throughout her career including five Dove Awards and one Grammy Award.
