You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind performance where classical music meets dubstep! Watch as these two genres collide and create something truly unique and special.

Introduction

In a world where classical music and dubstep are often thought of as being at complete opposite ends of the musical spectrum, one talented musician is seeking to change that perception with his unique blend of the two genres.

Based in Los Angeles, California, American violinist and composer Lindsey Stirling is quickly making a name for herself with her inventive style of music. Stirling combines her classical training with her love of electronic dance music to create a sound that is truly unique.

In 2012, Stirling released her self-titled debut album, which reached the top ten on both the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and the UK Classical Albums chart. She has since gone on to release two more studio albums, Shatter Me in 2014 and Brave Enough in 2016.

Stirling has also achieved great success with her live performances. In 2013, she embarked on her first world tour, which included over 150 dates across Europe, North America, Asia, Australasia, and South America. She has since gone on to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including London’s Wembley Arena and New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

With her combination of classical training and electronic dance music sensibilities, Lindsey Stirling is creating a new genre of music that is sure to captivate audiences for years to come.

What is Dubstep?

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the late 1990s. It is generally characterized by sparse, syncopated rhythmic patterns with bass lines that contain prominent sub-bass frequencies.

What is Classical Music?

Classical music is art music produced or rooted in the traditions of Western music, including both liturgical (religious) and secular music. While a more precise term is also used to refer to the period from 1750 to 1820 (the Classical period), this article is about the broad span of time from before the 6th century AD to the present day, which includes the Classical period and various other periods. The central norms of this tradition became codified between 1550 and 1900, which is known as the common-practice period.

How Do They Mix?

The unlikely musical combination of classical music and dubstep results in a unique and powerful performance. The soft, slow melodies of the classical music are juxtaposed with the heavy bass and fast beat of the dubstep, creating an interesting and compelling sound.

What is even more impressive is how these two completely different genres are mixed together. The transition from one to the other is seamless, and it is clear that a lot of thought and care went into this performance. It is a testament to the skill of the musicians involved that they were able to create such a beautiful and moving piece of music.

The Performance

This original composition, “Divergence,” is a mix of classical and dubstep music. The song was performed by a string quartet and a dubstep artist, and was written by American composer Michael Thurber.

The performance begins with a simple melody played on the violin. This is soon joined by the other instruments in the quartet, creating a rich and full sound. The piece then transitions into a more upbeat section, with the violins playing fast-paced runs. TheDubstep artist comes in at this point, adding in his own unique style of electronic beats.

The two different genres of music come together perfectly in this performance, creating something truly special and original. If you’re a fan of either classical or dubstep music, or both, you’ll definitely enjoy this performance!

Conclusion

In conclusion, this was a very unique performance that brought together two seemingly disparate genres of music. The end result was a fascinating and enjoyable experience that I would recommend to others.
