Introduction

Collective Soul is a rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, lead guitarist Jesse Triplett, bassist Will Turpin and drummer Johnny Rabb. Formed in 1992 by the five original members, the band has released nine studio albums, two live albums and a compilation album. “Shine”, from their second album Dosage (1999), spent a record-breaking 20 weeks on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and was one of the most popular rock songs of the 1990s.

The Band

Collective Soul is an American rock band originally from Stockbridge, Georgia. The band has released 10 studio albums, two live albums, one compilation album, and one EP. Their first three albums are certified multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The singles “Shine”, “December”, “The World I Know” and “Gel” have all reached number one on Billboard magazine’s Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

The Music

Collective Soul is no stranger to playing shows in unique and far-flung locations, but their latest gig may be their most interesting yet. The band recently played a show in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, 6,000 feet above sea level.

The show was part of the High Atlas Music Festival, which aims to promote cultural exchange and understanding through music. Collective Soul was invited to play by the festival’s organizers, who were familiar with the band’s work with Amnesty International.

“It was an honor to be asked to participate in such a special event,” said lead singer Ed Roland. “The people of Morocco are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the scenery is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”

The band played a mix of their hits and deep cuts for the revellers, who danced and sang along throughout the night. It was a truly unique experience for both the band and the audience, and one that is sure to be remembered for years to come.

The Tour

The band Collective Soul is currently on tour in support of its latest album, “See What You Started by Continuance.” The tour includes stops in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

One of the more unique aspects of the tour is that the band is playing in some very unusual places, including a mountaintop in Morocco. The concert was held at an elevation of 12,000 feet, making it one of the highest concerts ever held.

The band has been to some interesting places during its career, but this is definitely one of the most unique. It’s not every day that you get to play on top of a mountain!

The Fans

The band’s popularity has only grown since their debut album in 1993, with a massive global fan base that extends from the United States to Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond. In recent years, the group has been particularly popular in Japan, where they have toured extensively and released several live albums. Collective Soul’s music has also been featured in a number of Japanese films and television shows.

The Future

The band’s ninth studio album, See What You Started by Continuing, was released on October 2, 2015. The first single, “Confession”, was released to radio on August 17. A second single and video, “This”, was released on December 4. The album debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 11 on the Top Rock Albums chart. In support of the album, the band embarked on a short five-date “Club performance and fan appreciation” tour in select U.S. cities in February 2016 followed by a ten-date Canadian tour in March and April with Our Lady Peace.
