The funeral of country music singer Dixie Lee will be held on Thursday in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

Lee, who was 27 years old, died on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.

Her death was announced by her husband, country music singer Clay Walker, on social media.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my wife’s passing,” Walker wrote. “Dixie was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, and friend.”

“She was an incredible human being and I am thankful for the time that we had together,” he continued. “Myself and our family appreciate the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.”

Lee is survived by her husband and their two young children.
