KSCS (96.3 FM, “New Country 96.3”) is a commercial radio station in Dallas, Texas. It is owned by Entercom and it airs a country music radio format. The studios and offices are on North Central Expressway in Uptown Dallas.
The transmitter site is west of Belt Line Road in Cedar Hill, Texas. KSCS has the highest power for an FM radio station in North America at 100,000 watts horizontal power and 100,000 watts vertical power.
The station signed on the air on December 1, 1958 as KNOK-FM. It was the FM sister station to KNOK (1140 AM). Both stations were owned by Faith Broadcasting Corporation and aired a country music format.
