The Dubstep Music Awards are back for 2012, and we’ve got all the winners right here! From Best Bass to Best Album, check out who took home the top prizes this year.

Introduction

The annual Dubstep Music Awards were held last night, and as always, there were some great moments. Here are some of the best performances and acceptance speeches from the evening.

Best Album

Best Album: Skrillex – Bangarang

Leading the charge for dubstep this year is Skrillex with his first full-length LP, Bangarang. Filled with face-melting bass drops and guest appearances from the likes of Sirah, Wolfgang Gartner, and 12th Planet, Bangarang is a tour de force of everything that’s good about dubstep today. If you’re looking for a place to start with dubstep, or just want to hear some of the best tracks of the year, look no further than Skrillex’sBangarang.

Best New Artist

The Best of the Dubstep Music Awards 2012 were announced last night, with some very impressive winners.

Best New Artist went to Kromestar, who is certainly one of the most exciting new talents in the dubstep world. His debut album, “Caligraphy”, was released to critical acclaim earlier this year, and it’s great to see him being recognized by his peers.

Other winners included Distance, who won Best Producer, and Benga, who won Best DJ. distance’s album “Repercussions” was also nominated for Album of the Year, but lost out to Kromestar’s “Caligraphy”.

Best Male Artist

KODEK wins Best Male Artist at the Dubstep Music Awards 2012 with his hit song “Bassline Junkie”.

Best Female Artist

The winner of the Best Female Artist at the Dubstep Music Awards 2012 is Katy B.

Katy B is a British singer and songwriter who started her career in 2010 with her debut album, On a Mission. She has since released two more studio albums, Little Red and Honey, which have both been well-received by critics and fans alike.

Katy B is known for her soulful voice and her ability to fuse together different genres of music, such as dubstep, R&B, and garage. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Diplo, Skream, and Magnetic Man.

Her win at the Dubstep Music Awards 2012 is a well-deserved one, and we’re sure that she’ll continue to produce great music in the years to come.

Best Live Act

Winners of the Best Live Act category at the 2012 Dubstep Music Awards were announced last night, with UK-based dubstep trio Nero taking home the coveted prize.

Nero, who are best known for their 2011 hit single “Promises,” beat out stiff competition from fellow nominees Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, and Funtcase to win the award.

This is the second year in a row that Nero have won the Best Live Act award, and they are also nominated in this year’s Best Producer and Best Track categories.

Best DJ

The best DJ at the 2012 Dubstep Music Awards was undoubtedly Skream. His performance was outstanding and his mixing was spot on. He is a true master of his craft.

Best Producer

Skrillex – With a career that has spanned less than five years, Skrillex has managed to make a big splash in the world of dubstep. He first gained attention with his remix of Benny Benassi’s “Cinema.” Since then, he has released several EPs and singles, as well as his debut album, “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.” He has also collaborated with a number of other artists, including Korn, Pendulum, and Ellie Goulding. In 2012, he won five Dubstep Music Awards, including Best Producer.

The award for Best Remix was given to Flux Pavilion for his remix of Childish Gambino’s “Upper West Side”.

Best Music Video

The Best of the Dubstep Music Awards 2012 was held on January 10, 2013, at the fillmore in Detroit, Michigan to honor the best dubstep music videos of 2012.

The nominees for Best Music Video were “Alive” by Krewella, “Angels” by Skrillex, “Bangarang” by Skrillex, “Bass Cannon” by Flux Pavilion, “Breathe” by The Prodigy, and “Etcetera” by Korn.

And the winner is… “Alive” by Krewella!

Best Radio Show

The Best of the Dubstep Music Awards 2012 goes to The Lab for their innovative and exciting show that brings the newest dubstep music to listeners around the world. Hosted by Orla Gartland and Alex Lewis, The Lab features weekly guest mixes, interviews with some of the biggest names in dubstep, and exclusive tracks and remixes that can’t be heard anywhere else.

Best Club Night

Best Festival

Skrillex took home the award for Best Festival at the 2012 Dubstep Music Awards. The award ceremony, which was held in London, recognizes the best and brightest in the dubstep music scene.

Other winners at the 2012 Dubstep Music Awards include Borgore, who won Best Producer, and Must Die!, who won Best Track for their song “Hellcat.”

Best Event

The annual Dubstep Music Awards (DMA) are held to recognize the achievements of dubstep musicians from around the world. The DMA is the only awards show that is exclusively dedicated to dubstep music. This year, the DMA will be held on March 3, 2012 at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada.
