Best of British Dubstep

Since the early 2000s, dubstep music videos have been a popular form of entertainment among the underground music scene. These videos often feature heavy bass lines and dark, often trippy, visuals. Dubstep music videos have had a surge in popularity in recent years, and Clubland Village has compiled a list of the best ones for your viewing pleasure.

Magnetic Man – “I Need Air”

With its infectious, anthemic vocal hook, “I Need Air” by British trio Magnetic Man is one of the catchiest dubstep tracks ever made. The song was a huge hit in the UK, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart. The accompanying music video is just as good as the song, and features a group of dancing robots that are sure to put a smile on your face.

Skream – “Filth”

Skream’s “Filth” is a great example of British Dubstep. The music video features a group of young people in a club setting, dancing and enjoying the music. The video is shot in a dark, gritty style that really captures the feel of the genre.

Chase & Status – “No Problem”

This music video is classic Chase & Status, with a dark and intense dubstep beat that is perfect for their original sound. The lyrics are also extremely well-written, making this one of the best dubstep songs out there.

American Dubstep

When it comes to dubstep music, there is no doubt that American artists have had a profound influence on the genre. Clubland Village, a leading American dubstep website, has put together a list of what they believe to be the best dubstep music videos ever made.

Flux Pavilion – “Bass Cannon”

Flux Pavilion’s “Bass Cannon” is an excellent example of American dubstep. The track is characterized by a wobbly bassline, complex drum patterns, and a General MIDI-like melody. The music video is directed by Jason Taylor and features a group of friends engaging in a game of paintball.

Excision – “X Up”

Excision is one of the leading names in dubstep, and “X Up” is one of his most iconic tracks. The video is a perfect accompaniment to the song, with its dark and intense visuals.

Datsik – “Firepower”

Datsik is a Canadian dubstep producer and DJ. He is the founder of Firepower Records. His first tracks were released in 2009 on Excision’s Rottun Recordings label. He has released two studio albums, Vitamin D in 2011 and Let It Burn in 2013.

European Dubstep

Nero – “Promises”

Nero’s “Promises” is a certified club banger, and the music video is a perfect example of what makes dubstep so much fun. The video features a group of people having a wild time at a nightclub, and the song’s infectious beat will surely get your feet moving.

Knife Party – “Internet Friends”

Knife Party is a British electronic music duo consisting of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, two members of the now-defunct drum and bass band Pendulum. “Internet Friends” is a great example of their work, and it’s a fun, catchy song that will get you moving.

Swedish House Mafia – “Save the World”

Swedish House Mafia is a Swedish electronic music trio consisting of former house music producers Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. The group officially formed in late 2008, and released their debut album *Until One* in 2010. The album charted in several countries, reaching number one in Belgium and Denmark. In 2011, the group announced that they would be embarking on a world tour before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2012.

Their farewell tour was documented in the film *Leave the World Behind*. The trio performed at several music festivals during the summer of 2012, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Coachella. They officially disbanded on Saturday, 24th November 2012 at Ultra Miami 2013 after playing their final show together.

“Save the World” is a song by Swedish house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia. The song features vocals from Swedish singer John Martin. It was released as a digital download on 22 May 2011, coinciding with the release of the group’s debut studio album Until Now. “Save the World” peaked at number ten on the UK Singles Chart and number seventeen on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. A remix EP was released on 6 September 2011 containing remixes by Hardwell, Knife Party and Deniz Koyu among others.
