Introduction

Hey there, readers! In this article, I’ll be discussing my top 10 favorite electronic dance music tracks of all time. This is a pretty broad genre, so I’ll be including a variety of sub-genres in my list. These are tracks that I think are not only great listening experiences, but also have stood the test of time. So without further ado, let’s get started!

“Alive” – Krewella

Alive is a song by American electronic group Krewella. It was released on June 18, 2013, as the lead single from their debut studio album, Play Hard (2013). The song was written by Jesper Jenset, Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf and Kris “Rain Man” Trindl. It was produced by Rain Man.

The song peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number five on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart in the United States. In 2014, the song was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. The song’s accompanying music video features the band members as they travel through deserts and forests.

“Animals” – Martin Garrix

Martin Garrix’s “Animals” was released in 2013, and it quickly became a staple in the EDM community. The song has a catchy melody, a subtle build, and a drop that will get any crowd moving. It’s no wonder that “Animals” has been played at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and EDC Las Vegas.

“Barracuda” – Knife Party

“Barracuda” is a song by Knife Party, released as a single on May 29, 2012. The song is included as a bonus track on the reissue of their debut studio album Abandon Ship (2014).

The song was leaked online in March 2012 before its official release. Upon its release, “Barracuda” received positive reviews from music critics. The song peaked at number two on the Beatport 100 chart and number five on the UK Dance Chart.

“Bass Cannon” – Flux Pavilion

“Bass Cannon” is a single by British dubstep artist Flux Pavilion. It was released on 12 April 2011 as a digital download in the United Kingdom, reaching a peak position of number 55 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was used in a television commercial for the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone.

“Beneath With Me” – Kaskade

This song is one of my favorites because it has a great beat and is really catchy. It’s also really sad, which I like in a song. “Beneath With Me” is about a relationship that Kaskade had with a girl who died, and it’s really depressing.

“Boomerang” – Knife Party

One of my all-time favorite electronic dance music tracks has to be “Boomerang” by Knife Party. The song is an adrenaline-pumping mix of electro and dubstep that always gets me moving. The drop is particularly sublime, with a catchy bassline and some awesome sound effects. If you’re looking for a tune to get you pumped up for a night out, “Boomerang” is definitely the one for you!

“Break Free” – Zedd

Released in 2014, “Break Free” is a collaboration between Russian-German electronic dance music producer Zedd and American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande. The song is upbeat and catchy, with a strong bassline and Grande’s signature powerful vocal performance. “Break Free” peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.

“Center of the Universe” – Dimitri Vegas

“Center of the Universe” is a song by electronic music producer Dimitri Vegas. The song was released as a single on June 3, 2013, and peaked at number two on the Beatport 100.

The song features a progressive house melody with a dubstep drop. The song is also notable for its use of the “vocal chop” effect, which was popularized by Skrillex.

The music video for “Center of the Universe” was released on YouTube on June 3, 2013. The video features Dimitri Vegas performing in front of a green screen with footage of various dance music festivals and club events.

“Center of the Universe” is widely considered to be one of Dimitri Vegas’ best songs, and is considered to be a defining track in the history of electronic dance music.

“Clarity” – Zedd

Released in October 2012, “Clarity” is a song by Russian-German electronic dance music producer Zedd, featuring the vocals of British singer Foxes. It was released as the lead single from his debut studio album, Clarity (2013). The song peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over 2 million copies in the United States.
