I believe that Electronic Dance Music is Free. I think that all other genres are too expensive. I don’t think that people should have to pay for music.

While the rise of EDM has been great for the genre, it has also created a bit of a problem. You see, as EDM becomes more popular, ticket prices for festivals and shows are also increasing. In some cases, ticket prices have doubled or even tripled in just a few years.

This has made it difficult for many people to enjoy EDM festivals and events. And it’s not just the ticket prices that are increasing, but also the cost of food, drinks, and even lodging.

So, what’s the solution?

Spotify is a music streaming platform that was launched in October of 2008. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. As of June 2017, Spotify has 159 million monthly active users, including 71 million paying subscribers.

The cost of distribution for record labels on Spotify is $0.007 per stream. For example, if an artist’s song is streamed 1,000 times, the label will make $7.

Artists make about $0.004 to $0.005 per stream on Spotify, which means that they would make $4-$5 from 1,000 streams. In comparison, artists make about $0.70 per song download on iTunes.
