The University of Central Oklahoma hosts an electronic dance music festival annually. This year, the festival will be held on April 27th.
The University of Central Oklahoma will host an electronic dance music festival featuring international DJs on April 13.
The event, called “Beat Drop,” will take place at Meacham Auditorium from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Local and out-of-state DJs will perform a variety of electronic genres, including dubstep, house, techno and Drum & Bass.
This will be the first time UCO has hosted an event of this magnitude, said Student Activities Council President Jared Taylor. “We’re really excited to bring something new and different to campus,” he said. “We think it will be a great experience for everyone involved.”

The headliners are party rock duo LMFAO, best known for their hits “Party Rock Anthem” and “I’m Sexy and I Know It,” and French house DJ David Guetta, whose hits include “When Love Takes Over” and “Titanium.” The supporting artists are electronic duo Porter Robinson and Swedish house producer Steve Angello, who are both scheduled to perform DJ sets, as well as British drum and bass group Pendulum and American dubstep artist Skrillex.
