The Worst of 2004

When it comes to music, 2004 was a pretty good year. We saw the release of some great albums, including Outkast’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below”, D’Angelo’s “Voodoo”, and Usher’s “Confessions”. But not every album that came out was a masterpiece. In fact, some were pretty terrible. Here are the worst of the worst from 2004.

Worst Albums

t was a banner year for electronica, but not every album was up to snuff. Here are the worst of 2004:

The Chemical Brothers – Push The Button
After the stellar Come With Us, the Chemical Brothers released this dud. “Push The Button” is a great title track, but the rest of the album is a snooze-fest.

Fatboy Slim – Palookaville
Fatboy Slim’s last album, Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars, was amazing. Palookaville is just disappointing. It’s not terrible, but it’s not up to Fatboy’s usual standards.

The Prodigy – Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
The Prodigy’s return after a five year hiatus was highly anticipated, but Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned was a letdown. It’s not a bad album, but it doesn’t compare to The Prodigy’s previous work.
