Different search engines use different algorithms, however they all broadly follow the same process when it comes to indexing and ranking content:
1) Crawling: The first step is known as “crawling”. This is where robots (known as “spiders” or “crawlers”) scan the internet searching for new content to add to their database (or “index”). These crawlers visit websites known as “webspaces” following links from one page to another – much like you would if you were surfing the web yourself. Set up Google Analytics
