The Top Electronic Music Awards of 2017 were announced last night, and we’ve got the full list of winners right here!

The Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards, often called the Oscars of the music industry, are awarded each year by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. They recognize achievement in the recording arts and are one of the four major annual American entertainment awards (along with the Golden Globe Awards, the Prime-time Emmy Awards, and the Tony Awards). The first Grammy Awards ceremony was held on May 4, 1959.

The Juno Awards

The Juno Awards are an annual Canadian music awards presentation to recording artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies. Winners are selected by either members of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences or a panel of experts depending on the award.

The Brit Awards

The Brit Awards are the British Phonographic Industry’s annual pop music awards. The name was originally a shortened form of “British”, “Britain” or “Britannia”, but subsequently became a backronym for British Record Industry Trusts Show. In addition, an equivalent awards ceremony for classical music, called the Classical Brit Awards, is held each May. Robbie Williams holds the record for the most Brit Awards, 13 as a solo artist and another five as part of Take That.

The MTV Video Music Awards

The MTV Video Music Awards, given out annually by MTV, honors the top music videos of the previous year. The first awards show was held in 1984, and it has continued to be a highly anticipated event ever since. This year’s show will take place on Sunday, August 27th at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

This year’s nominees for Video of the Year are Kendrick Lamar for “Humble,” Ed Sheeran for “Shape of You,” Bruno Mars for “That’s What I Like,” Childish Gambino for “Redbone,” and The Weeknd for “Reminder.” In addition to Video of the Year, there are 11 other award categories including Best Hip Hop Video, Best Pop Video, and Best Collaboration.

Some of the most nominated artists this year include Kendrick Lamar with 8 nominations, Ed Sheeran with 6 nominations, Bruno Mars with 5 nominations, and The Weeknd with 5 nominations. With so many talented artists up for awards this year, it is sure to be an exciting show!

The Billboard Music Awards

The Billboard Music Awards honors some of the biggest names in electronic music each year. The awards are based on performance on the Billboard charts, and the 2017 winners included The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, and David Guetta.
