The Soul Train Music Awards nominees

The nominees for the 2015 Soul Train Music Awards were announced today, with Erykah Badu, Nicki Minaj and Missy Elliott leading the pack with five nominations each. Elsewhere, Jill Scott and big-voiced singers Fantasia, KEM andtank all picked up three nods.

The annual awards show, which celebrates black music and culture, will air November 29th on BET. In addition to honoring the year’s best music, the show will feature special performances and tributes. This year’s honorees include singer Ciara (who will be feted with the Centric Certified Award), New Edition (legendary soul group) and Stevie Wonder (the 2015 Legend Award recipient).
