We take a look at some of the most famous house music DJs who have helped shape the genre and make it the global phenomenon it is today.

DJ Tiesto

DJ Tiesto is a world-renowned DJ who has been spinning records for more than two decades. He is best known for his work as a trance DJ and producer, but he has also dabbled in other genres of electronic dance music.

Tiesto was born in the Netherlands in 1969 and he started out his music career as a drummer in a rock band. He soon transitioned into the world of club DJing and began to make a name for himself with his unique style of mixing different genres of music.

In the early 2000s, Tiesto achieved mainstream success with his hit album “In Search of Sunrise 3: Panama” and he has since gone on to perform at some of the biggest music festivals in the world, including Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland.

Tiesto is widely considered to be one of the most successful DJs of all time and he was even voted “The Greatest DJ Of All Time” by Mixmag in 2013. If you’re a fan of house music, then there’s no doubt that you’ve heard of this legendary DJ.

Armin van Buuren

Armin van Buuren is a Dutch record producer, DJ, and remixer. He has been voted the No. 1 DJ in the world five times by DJ Magazine. He is known for his radio show “A State of Trance”, which is broadcast to more than 37 million listeners in 84 countries each week.

David Guetta

David Guetta is a French DJ, music programmer, record producer and songwriter. He has sold over nine million albums and thirty million singles worldwide. In 2011, Guetta was voted as the number one DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll. In 2010, he founded Gum Productions with Joachim Garraud and released his first album, Just a Little More Love, in 2002. Guetta achieved mainstream success with his 2009 album One Love which included the hit singles “When Love Takes Over” (featuring Kelly Rowland), “Gettin’ Over You” (featuring Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO), “Sexy Bitch” (featuring Akon) and “Memories” (featuring Kid Cudi).

Guetta has collaborated with numerous other recording artists such as Lil Wayne, Madonna, Flo Rida, Usher, Nicki Minaj, will.i.am and Snoop Dogg. He is also a five-time Grammy Award nominee and won two World Music Awards in 2010. In 2011 Guetta was voted as the best DJ of the last 20 years in a poll by listeners of Virgin Radio UK.

Hardwell

Hardwell, born Robbert van de Corput, is a Dutch EDM DJ, record producer and remixer. He is best known for his work with Tiësto, with whom he collaborated on the track “Zero 76”. Hardwell first gained recognition in 2009 for his bootleg of “Show Me Love vs. Be” which he released on various social media sites. He founded the record label Revealed Recordings in 2010 and has released numerous EPs and compilations through the label. In 2013, he was voted the world’s number one DJ by DJ Mag.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are two Belgian brothers who have taken the electronic music world by storm. The duo, who are known for their high-energy performance style, got their start in the early 2000s and have since released a string of hits that have gone on to become dancefloor anthems. They are perhaps best known for their collaboration with Afrojack on the track “The Way We See the World,” which was a massive hit in 2011. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have also worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and David Guetta.
