The Latin American Music Awards were held on October 17, 2019, in Hollywood, California. The event was hosted by Becky G and Pasquale Rotella. The awards ceremony recognizes the most popular Latin albums, songs, and artists in the United States.

The winners

The Latin American Music Awards honored the best and brightest in Latin music on Thursday night. The show, which took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, was hosted by Eva Longoria and Jacky Bracamontes.

Some of the biggest winners of the night were Shakira, Selena Gomez, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Ozuna, who each took home two awards. Gomez won big for her collaboration with Fonsi on “Despacito,” taking home both Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year. Shakira won both Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for El Dorado.

Other winners included J Balvin for Male Artist of the Year, Maluma for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Reik for Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock, Juanes for Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock and Natalia Jimenez for Favorite Female Artist – Regional Mexican.
