The Latin American Music Awards is an annual awards show that celebrates Latin American music. This year’s show was held on October 20, 2021, and was hosted by Becky G and Alex Sensation. The show was aired on the Telemundo network.

The Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) are an annual American music award ceremony and show to recognize excellence in the Latin music industry. The show airs live on the Telemundo network every October.

The first Latin AMAs ceremony was held on October 8, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. It was hosted by Raúl De Molina, Satcha Pretto and Jessica Carrillo. The show was produced by Dick Clark Productions and was broadcast simultaneously on Telemundo, NBC Universo, and NBC Latino.[1][2] The awards ceremony recognizes both artists and producers in various categories.[3]

The show was created because of the success of the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Premios Juventud.[4][5]

The Latin AMAs have been held annually since 2015. They are broadcast live on Telemundo.

With so many amazing artists in attendance, it was always going to be a night to remember. But there were some surprise wins that had everyone talking. Here are the biggest surprises of the Latin American Music Awards 2021.

Juanes took home the award for Artist of the Year, beating out some stiff competition including Bad Bunny and Ozuna. This is Juanes’ first LAMA win in this category, and it’s a well-deserved one!

In the Best Male Artist category, it was a close race between two of Latin music’s biggest stars: Ozuna and Bad Bunny. In the end, it was Ozuna who took home the prize – his first LAMA win in this category.

Speaking of Bad Bunny, he was nominated for a whopping eight awards at this year’s ceremony but only ended up winning one: Best Collaboration for his song ‘Te Deseo Lo Mejor.’ Surely he’ll be back next year to take home more trophies!

Camila Cabello made history as she became the first female artist to win Album of the Year at the Latin American Music Awards. She beat out some tough competition including Karol G, Anuel AA, and J Balvin to take home the prize. Congrats, Camila!

Losers

Although the Latin American Music Awards (LAMA) are considered to be one of the most prestigious music awards ceremonies in the world, there are always a few surprises every year. This year was no different, with some big winners and some even bigger losers.

The biggest surprise of the night was undoubtedly French Montana, who won the award for Best Male Artist. This was his first ever LAMA, and he beat out some stiff competition, including Bad Bunny and J Balvin.

Another big surprise was Green Day, who won the award for Best Rock Album. This is their first LAMA in over 20 years, and they beat out some much newer bands, including The Strokes and Coldplay.

There were also some big losses at this year’s LAMA. Justin Bieber lost out on the award for Best Male Artist to French Montana, while Rihanna lost out on the award for Best Female Artist to Shakira.
