Introduction

The Genji Dubstep | Overwatch Music Series is a fan-made, non-profit music series created by YouTube user MasterOfTheRiffs. The series aims to create remixes and covers of popular songs from the video game Overwatch, with a focus on the character Genji.

The first video in the series was released on May 5, 2016, and featured a remix of the song “Hanamura” from the game’s soundtrack. Since then, the series has released over 30 videos, with songs spanning multiple genres including rock, pop, and EDM.

While the series is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment or Overwatch in any official capacity, it has nonetheless been warmly received by fans of the game, with many of the videos accumulating hundreds of thousands of views.

What is Genji Dubstep?

Genji Dubstep is a series of fan-made remixes, mashes, and tracks created by the YouTube user Sparbu, who combines various instrumental music with the sounds and speeches of Overwatch’s cyborg ninja hero, Genji.

The series started on October 12th, 2016, with the release of the track “Genji vs Pharah | Cypher”, which has since garnered over 1.6 million views (shown below).
