Gospel Music Association Honors the Best in the Industry

The Gospel Music Association Honors is an annual event that recognizes and celebrates the best in the gospel music industry.


The Gospel Music Association honors the best in the industry each year with the Dove Awards. This year, the awards show will be held on October 20th, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. The show will recognize artists in a variety of categories, including: Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Worship Song of the Year, and more.

The Gospel Music Association Honors & Awards celebrates the contributions of individuals in all forms of Gospel Music. The show features live musical performances and showcases the work of songwriters, artists, producers, publishers, radio personnel, and executives who have made outstanding contributions to the industry.


The Gospel Music Association Honors & Dove Awards is an annual event that recognizes some of the outstanding achievements in Christian and gospel music. The event is put on by the Gospel Music Association, which is a membership organization made up of individuals in the industry, including artists, songwriters, producers, and executives.

The awards are handed out in a number of different categories, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Producer of the Year. There are also awards for specific genres such as Contemporary Christian Music, Southern Gospel Music, and Traditional Gospel Music.

This year’s event will be held on October 15th at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.


After years of celebrating the biggest names and brightest stars in gospel music, the Gospel Music Association is expanding its reach to include those who have made a significant impact on the industry. The new GMA Honors program will honor individuals and organizations for their contributions to the genre, whether it be through artist development, songwriting, production, media or philanthropy.

“The GMA Honors program is designed to recognize individuals and organizations who have played an integral role in furthering Gospel music’s reach and influence both domestically and internationally,” said Jackie Patillo, President/CEO of the Gospel Music Association. “We are looking forward to honoring those who have helped shape our industry and expand its footprint around the globe.”
