James Cleveland- Live in Anaheim
James Cleveland was a gospel singer, songwriter, and choir director who played a major role in the development of gospel music. He was born in 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, and began singing gospel music as a child. He joined the Gospel Clefs when he was just 18 years old, and went on to lead the group for many years. In 1957, he founded the Southern California Community Choir, which went on to become one of the most successful gospel choirs in history. He recorded dozens of albums over the course of his career, many of which are considered classics of the genre. James Cleveland passed away in 1991, but his music continues to inspire and uplift people all over the world.
The Mighty Clouds of Joy- He’s Able
The Mighty Clouds of Joy are a gospel music group. Formed in 1953, the group has had a long and successful career. Their most recent album, He’s Able, was released in 2014.
He’s Able is a traditional gospel album that features fourteen tracks. The Fairfield Four is a Nashville-based a cappella gospel group that formed in the early 1920s. The group’s name comes from Fairfield Baptist Church, where they first began singing together.
