The Governors Island Ferry departs from both Battery Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan (10 South Street) and Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park (at the foot of Atlantic Avenue). The ferry ride is free, and takes about 5 minutes. Shuttle buses are also available on the island to help visitors get around.
