Piedmont Park

Every Saturday night in the summer, the best house music in the city can be found in Piedmont Park. The party starts around 9:00 pm and goes all night. If you’re looking for a great time, this is the place to be.

Location

Piedmont Park is located in Midtown Atlanta, just east of the city’s Downtown area. The park is shaped like a rectangle, and its main entrance is on Piedmont Avenue at 10th Street. The park also has entrances on 14th Street, 15th Street, Monroe Drive, and 12th Street.

History

Piedmont Park was established in 1904, when a group of citizens led by Mayor George Edmondson bought the first 170 acres (69 ha) of land. In 1913–1914, the park was expanded to its present size of 189 acres (76 ha) through a land purchase from Harry Davis Manufacturing Company, making Atlanta’s park one of the largest acquired in recent memory.

Events

The Piedmont Park Conservancy is excited to announce the return of House Music in the Park on Saturday, October 12th from 2:00pm – 8:00pm! This year’s event will feature live music, food trucks, and drinks available for purchase.

This event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Dogs are welcome in the park, but must be on a leash at all times.
