Released in February 2009, this progressive house tune was an instant classic. It features a catchy vocal sample from Haley Gibby that is used throughout the track. The ethereal feel of the melody is complimented by a steady beat, making it perfect for both dancing and listening.

8. “I Wanna Be” by Laidback Luke feat. Steve Aoki

This Dutch DJ and producer teamed up with American electro house musician Steve Aoki for this 2009 track. It reached #1 on the Beatport 100 chart and was included in Luke’s album Mixmash Radio, Vol. 2.

I downright love this tune. The production is excellent, and the melody is both catchy and unique. The vocal sample is excellent as well.

Maya is a Romanian DJ and producer who had a huge hit in 2009 with “Stereo Love.” The track features the vocals of Vika Jigulina, who is also from Romania. “Stereo Love” was a top 10 hit in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States.

If there’s one track that defined the year 2009 for me, it was Laidback Luke & Gregor Salto’s “Step by Step”. An infectious blend of house, techno, and afrobeat, the track features some of the most creative production I’ve ever heard. The Gregor Salto remix is my personal favorite, but there are also excellent versions by Laidback Luke himself and Afrojack.

Furyo was a huge club hit in Europe in 2009, and this remix by Tong & Spoon took it to the next level. The original track is a bit dark and brooding, but the remix adds a bit of levity with its catchy synth line and uplifting atmosphere.
