The trailer gives us a glimpse of the lavish lifestyle of the late Maurizio Gucci (played by Driver), as well as the teams behind his high-profile murder trial. There’s also a scene featuring a very 2008-esque party at Gucci’s lake house, which looks like it was a blast to film.

What to expect

House of Gucci, the upcoming Ridley Scott movie based on the true story of Maurizio Gucci’s murder, gets its first music trailer. The minute-long spot features a mix of classic tracks and current hits as it sets up the film’s central love story between Patrizia (Lady Gaga) and Maurizio (Adam Driver).

The trailer opens with Elton John’s “Your Song” playing over footage of the two characters meeting and falling in love. As their relationship becomes more complicated, the music ramps up with harder-hitting tracks like Muse’s “Uprising” and Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s “Leave the Door Open.”

The trailer culminates with Lady Gaga’s new single “Gucci Flip Flops,” which was written specifically for the film. The track is a sultry ballad that finds Gaga singing about her character’s dark desires: “All I need is some green / All I need is a Hun / Wanna be in a mansion / sipping champagne in the sun.”

House of Gucci is due out in theaters on November 24th.
