Introduction

House Season 4 Episode 16: The Music is the sixteenth episode of the fourth season of House, and the ninety-second episode overall. It aired on March 10, 2008. In this episode, a famous rock star comes to Princeton Plainsboro for treatment after collapsing on stage. However, House and the team begin to think that his sudden illness may be more than just medical. Meanwhile, Cameron grows increasingly frustrated with Chase’s detoxification process.

At the beginning of the episode, House is treating a young patient who is in a coma. He eventually comes to the conclusion that she has a brain tumor and needs surgery to remove it. After the surgery, the patient wakes up and is able to talk and walk again.

In “The Music”, Wilson and Cuddy’s relationship continues to be strained as he still feels that she is keeping secrets from him. Meanwhile, the team treats a patient named Darlene who is a music therapist. They soon discover that she has a brain tumor that is affecting her ability to hear music. House eventually comes up with a plan to treat her, but it involves breaking one of Wilson’s prized possession – his vinyl record collection. Ultimately, the treatment works and Darlene is able to recover. However, the strain on Wilson and Cuddy’s relationship proves to be too much as they end up breaking up.
