Looking to make some sick house beats on Garageband? Check out our step-by-step guide on how to do it like a pro!

Open Garageband

Open Garageband on your laptop. If you don’t have Garageband, you can download it for free here. Once you have it open, create a new project by clicking “Create New Project” in the upper left-hand corner.

Choose an instrument

Now that you have Garageband open and a new project started, it’s time to choose an instrument. For this tutorial, we’ll be using the software instrument ‘Extended Piano’. You can find this by opening the browser (shortcut: cmd + 0), selecting the ‘ Instruments’ tab, and then scrolling down to ‘Pianos’.

Find a beat

The first step to making house music is to find a beat. You can do this by opening up Garageband and going to the “File” tab. Next, click on “New Project.” A new window will pop up. In the top left-hand corner, you will see a search bar. Type in “house” and hit enter. A variety of different beats will come up.double click on the one you want to use.

Layer the instruments

One of the best things about house music is that it can be made with just a few simple instruments. A typical house track will have a drum machine, a synthesizer, and a bassline.

The key to making a good house track is to layer the instruments so that they all fit together nicely. The drums should be the foundation of the track, and the other instruments should build on top of that.

Start by creating a basic drum beat. Then, add in a bassline. Once you have those two elements in place, you can start adding in other instruments. Synthesizers are a common choice for house music, but you can really use any type of instrument that you like.

Remember to leave some space in the track for the vocals. House music is often very repetitive, so it can be helpful to have a lead vocalist to help keep things interesting.

If you’re not sure where to start, there are lots of great tutorials on Youtube that can help you get started making house music on Garageband.

Export the song

Now that you have finished making your House song in Garageband, it is time to export it so you can share it with the world! This is a relatively simple process, but there are a few things you need to do before you can hit the “export” button.

1.First, you need to make sure all of your audio tracks are properly mixed and balanced. If one track is much louder than the others, it will sound distorted when you export the song. Use the faders and volume controls in Garageband to adjust the levels of each track until they sound even.

2.Next, you need to decide what format you want to export the song in. MP3 is a good choice for most people, but if you plan on doing any further editing to the song, you should export it in AIFF or WAV format.

3.Finally, click on the “Share” menu and choose “Export Song.” Select the desired format and click “Export.” That’s it – your House song is now ready to be shared with the world!
