The Strokes is an American rock band from New York City, consisting of Julian Casablancas (lead vocals), Nick Valensi (guitar, backing vocals), Albert Hammond, Jr. (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Nikolai Fraiture (bass guitar) and Fabrizio Moretti (drums,percussion). Formed in 1998, they are one of the last surviving garage rock bands from the early 2000s Indie music boom.

“You Only Live Once” is a song by the American rock band The Strokes. It was released as the lead single from their third studio album First Impressions of Earth on July 18, 2006 in the United Kingdom and on August 1 in the United States.

The White Stripes – “Seven Nation Army” is a 2003 song by American rock duo The White Stripes. It was released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, Elephant. Written and produced by Jack White, the song features a distinctive bassline and drum part that evokes the sound of an army marching. The “seven nation army” refers to the United States Army, which was once made up of seven divisions.

The song became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in 19 countries and topping the charts in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom. In the UK, it spent 10 weeks at number one on the singles chart, becoming the country’s best-selling single of 2003. It also won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song and was nominated for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards.
