Skrillex – “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites”

Skrillex’s debut album, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, was a game-changer for dubstep. The lead single, also titled “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” introduced the world to Skrillex’s signature sound: a mix of heavy bass drops and screeching synths that was both accessible and innovative. The song quickly became a dubstep anthem, and its popularity helped propel Skrillex to the forefront of the electronic music scene.

Flux Pavilion – “Bass Cannon”

Flux Pavilion – “Bass Cannon” is one of the most inspiring dubstep songs. The song is intense and will get your heart pumping.

Nero – “Promises”

“Promises” is a song by English dubstep trio Nero. It was released on 2 May 2011 by MTA Records and Interscope Records, as the lead single from their debut studio album, Welcome Reality (2011). The song peaked at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart, making it their second consecutive top 20 hit in the United Kingdom. In March 2012, “Promises” received a nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 54th Grammy Awards.

Knife Party – “Internet Friends”

This is one of the most famous dubstep songs of all time, and for good reason. The track is melody-driven while still keeping the intense dubstep vibes that fans love.

Skream – “Let’s Get Ravey”

Starting with a light and airy tone, “Let’s Get Ravey” gradually builds into a cinematic drop that will have you feeling like you’re soaring through the clouds. The infectious melody is paired with wonky basslines and fluttering synths, making it the perfect track to get lost in.

Calvin Harris – “Sweet Nothing”

This song is one of the most popular dubstep songs. The main character wakes up in the morning to find his girlfriend gone. He tries to text her, but she doesn’t respond. He then goes to work, but he’s so distracted by thoughts of her that he can’t concentrate. At lunch, he gets a call from her, and she tells him that she’s not coming back. This makes him even more upset, and he goes home early. When he gets home, he finds that she’s been cheating on him with his best friend. This song is about the pain and betrayal that he feels.

Zeds Dead – “Collapse”

This is one of my favorite dubstep songs of all time. I love the way the Bassnectar remix starts out with that haunting piano melody and then drops into that hard-hitting bass line. The original song is definitely worth checking out as well.

Adventure Club – “Gold”

From the intro of violins to the ebb and flow of synths, this song is an emotional rollercoaster. The melodies clash and harmonize perfectly with the driving bass to create a soundscape that is both beautiful and intense.

Disclosure – “You & Me”

This song was released in 2013 by the English electronic duo Disclosure. It features vocals from Eliza Doolittle and is taken from their debut album, Settle. The song peaked at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart.

The song is a mid-tempo dubstep track with a summery feel. The infectious drop and energetic vocals make it an inspirational and uplifting song.
