Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli, OMRI, OMDSM is an Italian singer, songwriter and record producer. Born with poor eyesight, he became completely blind at the age of 12 following a football accident. Overcoming adversity, he achieved international success as a classical crossover artist, receiving several awards including five Grammy Awards, two World Music Awards and a Golden Globe Award. In 1999, he was given the title of Honorary Knight by Queen Elizabeth II.

Bocelli has recorded fourteen solo studio albums, of both pop and classical music. His first album of pop songs was released in 2006; it sold over one million copies worldwide and included his breakthrough single “Because We Believe”. His subsequent album grosso modo was also a commercial success and included the duet “Dare to Live” with American pop singer Laura Pausini. In 2007 he won his first Grammy Award for Best Classical Album for Sacred Arias.

Laura Pausini

Laura Pausini, an Italian pop singer, was born in 1994 in the province of Faenza, Italy. Pausini rose to fame in 1993, winning the “Newcomers’ Section” of the 43rd Sanremo Music Festival with her debut single “La solitudine”. Her debut album, Laura Pausini, was released in Italy on 23 April 1993 and later became an international success, selling two million copies worldwide.

Pausini has released thirteen studio albums, consisting of eleven in Italian and two in Spanish; a greatest hits album and an album of duets with Latin artists titled Laura & Paolo. She has sold over 60 million records worldwide and has won numerous awards throughout her career. In 2006, she became the first Italian female artist to win a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album with Io canto.

Pausini was born in Faenza, Italy on 16 May 1974. She is the daughter of Fabrizio Pausini, a truck-driver and Giuliana Pausini (née Morandi), a homemaker. Her parents divorced when she was a child and she has an older sister named Silvia who is also a singer.

Pausini grew up in Solarolo Cheratte, near Bologna. At the age of twelve she began writing songs with Marco Facchinetti and Valerio scanu both members of Pooh since 1998; until 2002 she collaborated as author for several artists including Moriarty (band)DalenaCaterina CaselliGiorgiaBeppe Carlettiand Gino Paoli[15] while continuing to write new material for her future first album. In 1992 Laura fullted her high school education at Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale Enrico Mattei in Faenza Afterward she studied civil engineering at Universityof Bologna but dropped out before completing her degree as her musical career took off.[17][18]

“Innamorata” is a ballad by Eros Ramazzotti off of his album Cuori agitati. The song talks about the feeling of being in love and the troubles that come with it.

“Strani Amori” by Laura Pausini

One of the most popular Italian singers of the 1990s and 2000s, Laura Pausini achieved success both in Italy and internationally. This ballad, which translates to “Strange Love,” is a heartbreakingly beautiful song about a love that didn’t last.
