His music has been featured on television shows like ER, The Young and the Restless, and Summerland, and his songs have been recorded by a long list of artists including Najee, Little River Band, Marion Meadows, Dave Weckl, Nils Lofgren, Peter White, Rick Braun, and Jessy J.

Pianist Dave Brubeck helped jazz to achieve a level of popularity it hadn’t known since the Swing Era in the 1930s and ’40s. Brubeck was born in Concord, California, on December 6, 1920, and raised on a ranch in Ione. He started playing the piano when he was four years old.

Dave Brubeck was an American jazz pianist and composer, considered to be one of the foremost exponents of West Coast jazz. He wrote numerous jazz standards, including “In Your Own Sweet Way” and “The Duke.” Brubeck’s style ranged from refined to bombastic, reflecting his mother’s attempts at classical training and his own improvisational skills. His music is noted for its use of odd time signatures, such as 5/4, 6/4, 9/8; he was also a pioneer in introducing counterpoint into jazz.

Chick Corea

Chick Corea is a giant of the jazz world, and his work with Return to Forever is some of the most influential and important in the history of the genre. Corea’s inventive, energetic and highly influential style helped to redefine jazz in the 1970s and his work with Miles Davis in the late 1960s was truly groundbreaking.
