Karol G took home four awards at the Latin American Music Awards 2021, including Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Tusa”, and Urban Fusion/Performance of the Year for “Downtown”.

This marks Karol G’s first time winning Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year, and the second time she has won Song of the Year (she previously won for “Mi Cama” in 2019).

Karol G headed into the Latin American Music Awards (LAMAs) with a whopping nine nods, and she did not disappoint. The reggaeton and Latin trap superstar took home five awards on Thursday night (April 15), making her the night’s biggest winner.

The “Tusa” singer started the show by winning two awards: favorite female artist – urban and favorite song – urban for her collaboration with Anuel AA, “China.” She also won favorite album – urban for her project, Ocean.

In addition to her three wins in the urban categories, G also won two awards in the general field. She took home favorite artist – general for the second year in a row, as well as favorite song – general for “Bichota.”

G wasn’t the only big winner of the night. Ozuna also took home five awards, including favorite male artist – urban, favorite album – urban for Enoc, and favorite artist of the year. Bad Bunny garnered four wins, including favorite artist – urban for the second year in a row.
