Early Life

Kelly Price was born on April 4, 1973, in Queens, New York. Her father was a minister, and her mother was a gospel singer. As a child, Price sang in her church choir. When she was 14 years old, she joined the girl group “Internal Affairs”. The group recorded the album “Forever” in 1990.

Price began her solo career in 1996 with the release of her album “Soul of a Woman”. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1998 and quickly rose to the top of the gospel charts. She followed up with the albums Mirror Mirror (2000) and Priceless (2003), both of which were huge commercial successes.

Throughout her career, Kelly has won multiple awards and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, and R. Kelly. In addition to her work as a singer and songwriter, she has also appeared on television shows such as “Star” and “Strong Medicine” as well as the reality series “Hollywood Exes” (2012-2014).
