It’s that time of year again! The Latin American Music Awards are upon us and we’ve got all the best (and worst) looks from the red carpet.

The Best

The Latin American Music Awards always bring out the best and brightest in Latin music, and this year was no different. From J Balvin’s resplendent all-white suit to Ricky Martin’s dapper tuxedo, the men brought their A-game to the red carpet.

And the ladies were no slouches either, with Gomez, Cabello, and Lovato all turning heads in their gorgeous gowns. But it wasn’t just the big names that caught our eye—there were plenty of up-and-comers who impressed us with their style.

Some of our favorite looks of the night include:

Becky G in a custom Schiaparelli gown with intricate beading and cutouts
Sofia Carson in a plunging black gown with a ruffled train
Leslie Grace in a white one-shoulder gown with gold featherdetail
Karol G in a crimson off-the-shoulder mermaid gown with ruffle detailing
Ozuna in a black and white Louis Vuitton two-piece suit

The Worst

The Latin American Music Awards always deliver when it comes to the fashion. Every year, the biggest and brightest stars in Latin music come together to celebrate the past year’s achievements, and they always bring their A-game when it comes to fashion.

But not every look can be a winner, and this year was no exception. From super sheer dresses to ill-fitting suits, there were plenty of misses on the red carpet.

Here are some of the worst looks from this year’s Latin American Music Awards:

The Most Disappointing

It’s that time of year again: the Latin American Music Awards are upon us! The 2021 show was held on Thursday night (April 15), and though it looked a little different this time around due to the pandemic—no live audience, for starters—there was still plenty of red carpet glamour (and, um, not-so-glamour) on display. Let’s take a look at some of the best and worst moments from this year’s LAMAs red carpet.

Worst Dressed:

You would think that with all the time celebrities have been spending at home over the past year, they would have had plenty of time to plan their red carpet looks—but apparently not. There were more than a few fashion misses on this year’s red carpet, but these three ladies takes the cake.

First up is J BALVIN’s girlfriend, Valentina Ferrer, who wore a bridal-esque gown that was completely out of place at an awards show (and not in a good way). The voluminous skirt and trailing veil were definitely dramatic, but not in a good way.

The Most Surprising

The Most Surprising:
-Eiza Gonzalez in Christopher Kane
-Lucy Hale in Jason Wu
-Nas in Givenchy

Who knew that red carpet dressing could be so… exciting? We certainly didn’t expect to see so many interesting looks at the Latin American Music Awards 2021, but we’re definitely not complaining. From Eiza Gonzalez’s Christopher Kane moment to Lucy Hale’s unexpected Jason Wu moment, there were plenty of fashion surprises on the red carpet. And, of course, we can’t forget about Nas’s very on-brand Givenchy look.

Of course, not every look was a winner. There were plenty of head-scratching moments, too. We’re still trying to figure out what was going on with Anitta’s barely-there gown and JLo’s La Liga patchwork dress left us feeling more confused than ever. But, overall, we’d say it was a pretty successful red carpet.
